3, 4, & 5 Year Olds
Manners Made Fun For Young Children

THE ETIQUETTE SCHOOL OF NEW YORK in Manhattan is very pleased to offer The American School of Protocol's very successful and highly-acclaimed "Manners for 3, 4, & 5 Year Olds."

Children are America's most precious commodity. There are many factors that affect the growth and development of our young children. During the past 30 years, the whole family structure of our country has changed. Today, it is not uncommon for both parents to work outside of the home. Also, our society is mobile. Family support members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins may live hundreds of miles apart and get together occasionally.

There are many factors that affect the growth and development of our young children. Educators are called upon not only to teach, but to parent as well. Many children today spend more time with outside influences than they do with their parents. The "Manners for 3,4, & 5 Year Olds"  program teaches children the all-important social skills they will need to be successful and happy people.

This is the point in a child's life when their self-esteem, and sense of self-worth begins to develop. By learning the appropriate ways to interact with others, how to contribute to their "community" , and how to conduct themselves when they are at home and in public, they will will receive the positive feedback and praise they need to be confident and happy people throughout their lives.

The "Manners for 3, 4, & 5 Year Olds" consists of ten 45-minute fun-filled lessons. The following topics will be covered:

  • Meeting and Greeting
  • Introductions
  • Correct use of the Knife and Fork
  • Dining Skills
  • Telephone Skills
  • Thank You Notes
  • Sharing and Playtime Manners

This program was developed for use in Prescools, daycare centers, church programs and community outreach organizations.
